Butterscotch Pinwheels Recipe

Ingredients:

1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 c. all purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter or other shortening
3/4 c. milk

Cooking Directions:

Set oven at 450 degrees. Sift flour, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl. Add shortening and cut it into the flour with 2 knives. Cut through until butter is evenly distributed and in pieces about the size of peas. Add milk little by little. Roll dough into an oblong 1/4 inch thick. Brush with melted butter sprinkle with brown sugar. Roll up like a jelly roll beginning with the long side with melted butter. Place close together in prepared pan cut side down. Bake 12-15 minutes. Serve butterscotch side up.
