Walnut Chiffon Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c. sifted flour1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. Wesson oil
7 unbeaten egg yolks
3/4 c. cold water
2 tsp. vanilla
Cooking Directions:
Add in order:1/2 c. Wesson oil7 unbeaten egg yolks3/4 c. cold water2 tsp. vanilla
Beat with spoon until smooth whites of eggs and 1 teaspoon cream of tartar. Beat until white and foamy and very stiff. Pour egg yolk mixture over whipped egg whites folding with spatula just until blended. Add 1 cup chopped nuts. DO NOT STIR.
Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour until golden brown.
