Hot Milk Cake With Broiled Icing Recipe
Ingredients:
3 eggs, beaten well1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. hot milk
1 1/2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. butter or shortening
5 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. sweet cream OR 1/2 c. milk
3/4 coconut
Cooking Directions:
Beat eggs, add sugar and vanilla. Add sifted flour, baking powder, salt and lastly, hot milk with butter in it. Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees.ICING:
3 tbsp. butter or shortening5 tbsp. brown sugar2 tbsp. sweet cream OR 1/2 c. milk3/4 coconut
Mix together. Add nuts on icing if desired. Remove to rack to cool.
