Cherry Chiffon Cake Recipes


1. Molded Pineapple Cream Cake
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, 1 pkg. vanilla pudding & pie filling mix, 2 c. heavy cream, whipped, 1/2 c. quartered maraschino cherries, Purchased orange chiffon cake or half of one baked from recipe in this book, Whole maraschino cherries (opt.)

2. Orange Chiffon Tube Cake
1 box chiffon cake mix, 1 (#2, 303) can crushed pineapple, 1 sm. box Jello vanilla pudding, 1 pt. whipping cream or Cool Whip, Nuts, pecans or English walnuts, chopped fine, Cherries

3. Cherry Chiffon Cake
7 eggs, separated, 1 (1 lb. 5 oz.) can cherry pie filling, divided, 1/2 c. vegetable oil, 2 tbsp. water, 1 tbsp. lemon juice, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. almond extract, 3/4 c. cream of tartar, 2 tsp. all-purpose flour, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. ground mace or nutmeg

Orange chiffon cake (can be ordered from bakery), 1 pt. whipping cream, 1 lg. box instant vanilla pudding, 8 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained, Maraschino cherries, Tangerines (1 sm. can)

Wesson oil, 7 egg yolks, 1/4 c. cherry juice, 1/2 c. water, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 c. egg whites, 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar, 3/4 c. chopped cherries (maraschino), 1 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar, 2 tbsp. cherry juice, 1 tsp. vanilla, 3 tbsp. butter, 1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries



6. Cherry Cardial Chiffon Cake
STEP 1:, 2 1/4 c. cake flour, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 3 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. cooking (salad) oil, 5 unbeaten egg yolks, 1/4 c. maraschino cherry juice, 1/2 c. cold water, 1 tsp. vanilla, STEP 2:, 1 c. egg whites (7 or 8), 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar, STEP 3:, 1/2 c. very thinly sliced and finely chopped well drained maraschino cherries, 1/2 c. very finely chopped nuts
