Coffee Flower Pears Recipe
Ingredients:
Pears4 plus 4 tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. instant decaffeinated coffee
Water
Whipped cream, if desired
Cooking Directions:
Peel all the pears. Place them in a saucepan with just enough water to cover them, approximately 4 cups. Add 4 teaspoons of instant decaffeinated coffee and 4 tablespoons sugar. Boil them until tender.Carefully place each pear in a bowl and with half of the remaining instant coffee you have in the saucepan, prepare a syrup, adding the rest of sugar (4 tablespoons). Cook until the syrup has a thick consistency. Pour this syrup over the pears and put them in the refrigerator until chilled.
At the moment of serving, add whipped cream, if desired.
