Rock Candy Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c. sugar1/2 c. white syrup
1/3 c. water
1/4 tsp. flavoring oil
Cooking Directions:
Butter side of a 1 quart saucepan. Mix sugar, syrup, and water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sugar dissolved. Let cook to a hard crack stage of 300 degrees on thermometer. Remove from heat and add flavoring and color. Pour onto a flat pan which has been buttered. Put powdered sugar on also. When edges get hard start cutting in strips then into small pieces.
