Calico Bean Soup Recipe
Ingredients:
1/3 c. each navy, Great Northern, kidney, pinto, black eyed peas, baby lima & lg. lima beans1 qt. water
2 beef or chicken bouillon cubes
1 c. onion, chopped
1 c. celery, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can tomato, chopped
1/2 lb. ham, cubed
Cooking Directions:
Pick over beans. Wash and soak overnight in water to cover. Bring to boil:1 qt. water2 beef or chicken bouillon cubes
Add beans and simmer, adding:
1 c. onion, chopped1 c. celery, chopped1 (16 oz.) can tomato, chopped1/2 lb. ham, cubed
Simmer until beans and vegetables are tender. 8 to 10 servings.
