Crock Pot Chicken With Rice Recipe
Ingredients:
1 (3 lb.) frying chickenSalt or seasoned salt
1 c. rice
Cooking Directions:
Sprinkle salt or seasoned salt on the inside and outside of the chicken and place the whole chicken in a crock pot. Cook on high for 1 hour. Turn to low and cook 6-8 hours.Put 2 cups cold water, 1 cup rice, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in covered saucepan and bring to a boil. Then let it simmer for 14 minutes, stirring with a fork once or twice. Pour 3/4 cup broth off of the chicken into the rice and cook about 5 minutes longer. Cut up the chicken and serve with the rice.
