Homemade Italian Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
2 lg. cans (22 oz. each) Italian tomatoes1 lg. can (22 oz.) puree tomatoes
2 (6 oz. each) Italian tomato paste
2 (6 oz.) water
2 sm. cans Contadina tomato sauce
4-5 pieces (sm.) garlic cloves, chopped well
1 med. onion, chopped well
1 med. green pepper, chopped
Olive oil
2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
2 tsp. ground basil
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. parsley
Salt & pepper to taste
1 lb. lean chop meat
1 chicken breast or few chicken wings
1 lb. sweet sausage
Cooking Directions:
Brown chop meat in little olive oil, in large pot - drain; set aside. Brown sausage in olive oil, do not drain. Add all ingredients and chop meat. Stir well and simmer low for 3 hours. Freezes well.Other Recipes you might like:
