Pork Chop Spanish Rice Recipe

Ingredients:

5 pork chops
2 tsp. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. chili powder
Dash pepper
3/4 uncooked rice
1/2 chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 large can tomatoes (1 lb. 12 oz. can)
5 green pepper rings
1/2 c. shredded sharp American cheese

Cooking Directions:

Slowly brown chops in shortening for 15 to 20 minutes and drain. Combine salt, chili powder and pepper; sprinkle over chops. Add rice, onion, chopped pepper and tomatoes. Cover and slowly cook 35 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add green pepper rings and cook 5 more mounds, or until rice and meat are tender. Sprinkle with cheese.
