Salted Nut Bars Recipe

Ingredients:

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 egg whites
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. white corn syrup
2 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. peanut butter chips
2 c. rice cereal, crushed
2 c. salted peanuts

Cooking Directions:

Combine all crust ingredients until crumbly and press into a greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Immediately sprinkle on marshmallows. Return to oven for 1-2 minutes or until marshmallows begin to puff. Cool while preparing topping.

In a large pan heat syrup, butter, vanilla, and chips; stir until chips are melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in cereal and nuts. Spoon over marshmallows and spread to cover. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into bars.
