Molasses Bars Recipe

Ingredients:

4 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
2 c. raisins
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. molasses
1 c. buttermilk or strong coffee

Cooking Directions:

Sift together first 4 ingredients. Mix butter, sugar, eggs, and molasses. Add sifted ingredients alternately with liquid. Add raisins. Bake in 2 greased jelly roll pans at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Frost with lemon or orange frosting. (I use 1/2 cup egg beaters and 1 egg white for cholesterol.)
