Polynesian Bars Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c. chopped pitted dates1 (20 oz.) can unsweetened crushed pineapple (2 1/2 c.)
Cooking Directions:
Mix together in saucepan and cook until consistency that can be spread. 1 c. millet flour 1 c. unsweetened coconut 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1 c. orange juice 1/2 tsp. saltMix oatmeal, flour, coconut, nuts and salt together. Add orange juice and moisten thoroughly. Take 9 x 13 inch pan and cover with 1/2 of oatmeal mixture and pat down. Spread filling on this and put rest of oatmeal mixture on top and pat down lightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or lightly browned.
