Best Ever Gingersnaps Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c. sugar2 c. all - purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
3/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg, slightly beaten
Powdered sugar
Cooking Directions:
Combine sugar, flour, salt, soda and spices. Stir lightly. Cut in shortening to resemble coarse crumbs. Stir in molasses and eggs. Shape dough into one - inch balls and roll them in powdered sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from baking sheets immediately. Gingersnaps will become firm as they cool.Other Recipes you might like:
