Chocolate Mint Dessert Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c. flour1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened (or butter)
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. (16 oz.) can Hershey syrup
2 c. confectioners' sugar
1/2 c. softened butter
2 tbsp. green creme de menthe
6 tbsp. butter
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Cooking Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13x9x2 pan. In large mixer bowl combine flour, sugar, butter, eggs and syrup. Beat until smooth. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.MINT CREAM CENTER:
2 c. confectioners' sugar1/2 c. softened butter2 tbsp. green creme de menthe
1 tablespoon water, 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon mint extract and 3 drops green food coloring may be substitute.
Beat until smooth. Spread over cake layer. Chill.
CHOCOLATE TOPPING:
6 tbsp. butter1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Melt butter and chips over low heat. Stir until smooth. Cool slightly. Pour chocolate over chilled dessert. Cover and chill about 1 hour. Makes 12 servings - very rich!
