The Canlis Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lg. head Romaine2 peeled tomatoes
1/4 c. chopped green onions
1 c. grated Romano cheese
1 c. chopped cooked bacon
2 tbsp. chopped mint
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. pepper
Juice of 1 lemon
1 coddled egg
1/2 c. olive oil
Cooking Directions:
In large bowl tear Romaine. Chop tomatoes and add to Romaine. Add green onions, cheese, bacon, mint and oregano.Put pepper, lemon juice and egg in a blender - mix vigorously. Slowly add olive oil and blend well. Pour over salad and toss.
Add croutons and a sprinkle of cheese. Serves 4-6.
