Mom's Open Face Apple Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
4-5 med. apples1 c. water
1-1 1/4 c. sugar
1-2 tbsp. cornstarch
Cinnamon to taste
Butter
1 (8-9") unbaked pie shell
Cooking Directions:
Peel and quarter apples; cut quarters in half. Add sugar and water to apples; let come to a boil. Add cornstarch and cook until clear.Pour into pie shell, sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with butter. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes; then at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
