Bean Soup Recipe
Ingredients:
4 lbs. sm. white beans, soaked overnight22 c. water
5 1/2 c. crushed tomatoes in heavy tomato puree
3 c. onions, chopped or blended
1 c. carrots, grated or blended
1 c. celery, finely chopped or blended
2 cloves garlic, blended
5 bay leaves
1 1/2 tsp. pepper
3 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
1/4 tsp. Hickory Smoke flavor
1 tsp. basil
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 lb. turkey ham, finely diced (put in last 1 1/2 hours)
Cooking Directions:
Simmer 3 1/2 to 4 hours, adding water gradually as needed. Soup to fill 16 quart pot 2 inches from top when complete.Other Recipes you might like:
