Salisbury Steak With Belmont Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
3 lbs. ground chuck1/4 c. finely chopped onion
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1/4 c. oil
1/2 c. ketchup
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/4 tsp. Tabasco
2 tbsp. sherry
Cooking Directions:
Combine meat, onion, parsley, salt, Tabasco and thyme. Shape into 8 oval patties. Sprinkle lightly with some flour and brush with oil. Broil about 6 minutes on each side. Top with Belmont Sauce. Serves 8.BELMONT SAUCE:
Melt 3 tablespoons butter in saucepan. Stir in:
1/2 c. ketchup1 tbsp. lemon juice1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce1 tsp. prepared mustard1/4 tsp. Tabasco2 tbsp. sherry
Blend well and bring just to boiling point.
