Basic Cream Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
3/4 c. sugar3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
Cooking Directions:
Cook over medium heat. Add 3 egg yolks. Return to heat, cook about 3 minutes. Remove.With wire whisk, whip in: 1 tsp. vanilla Favorite filling
Beat until creamy. Pour into baked shell.
For Pineapple Filling: Add 1/2 cup drained crushed pineapple.
For Coconut: Add 1/4 cup coconut to base and sprinkle coconut on to of meringue to brown.
For Chocolate: Use 1 cup of sugar and add 2 tablespoons Hershey's cocoa.
For Banana Cream: Arrange banana on baked crust.
MERINGUE:
Use 3 egg whites, whipped stuff with 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix well. Bake at 325 degrees for 5-7 minutes or until brown.
