Homemade Mincemeat For Pies Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef (browned)2 lbs. cooked apples (finely chopped)
1 c. currants
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. raisins
2 c. apple cider
1/2 c. beef broth
1 tsp. cloves
Cooking Directions:
Mix and simmer 1 hour, stirring often. Add 3 tablespoons lemon juice after cooking mincemeat. Cool and refrigerate. Enough filling for two 2 crust pies.Other Recipes you might like:
