1. Mandarin Orange And Almond Salad
1 tsp. sugar, 1 tsp. water, 1/2 c. slivered almonds, 8 c. lettuce, torn into bite size pieces (Romaine, Bibb, iceberg, or mixture), 1 c. chopped celery, 2 green onions, chopped, 2 (11 oz.) cans mandarin oranges, drained, Sesame oil and vinegar dressing, 1/2 tsp. salt, 4 tbsp. sugar, 4 tbsp. white vinegar, 1/8 tsp. pepper, 1/2 c. sesame oil

2 (16 oz.) cans carrots, drained (whole if possible), 2 sm. zucchini, thinly sliced, about 3 c., 1 (14 oz.) can Hearts of Palm, sliced crosswise in 1/2 inch slices, 1 1/3 c. vegetable oil, 2 sm. cloves garlic, minced, 1/2 c. vinegar, 2 tbsp. sugar, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard, 1 (2 oz.) pkg. crumbled blue cheese, Freshly ground pepper, Bibb lettuce

1/3 c. salad oil, 1 tsp. sugar, 1/2 tsp. aromatic bitters, 2 tbsp. finely chopped stuffed green olives, 1 (14 oz.) can hearts of palm, drained, sliced, 2 tbsp. lemon juice, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. paprika, 1 tbsp. finely chopped onion, 1 tbsp. finely chopped celery, 6 c. torn Bibb lettuce

1 c. oil, 3/4 c. sugar, 1/3 c. vinegar, Dash of salt, 1 tsp. mustard, 1 tsp. grated onion, 1 tsp. poppy seeds, Bibb lettuce, 1/2 c. Swiss cheese, shredded, 1/2 c. cashews
