C.'s German Apple Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c. sugar2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. salad oil
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. chopped apple, fine
1 c. nuts
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 tsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
Cooking Directions:
Beat eggs and oil until foamy, add sugar, sift all dry ingredients together (flour, cinnamon, soda, salt) add apples and nuts. Bake in 9x13 inch pan, greased at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.FROSTING:
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened2 tsp. melted butter1 tsp. vanilla1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
Blend together and frost cake.
