Creamy Pralines Recipe
Ingredients:
1 box light brown sugar1 c. white sugar
1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 c. pecans
3/4 c. clear corn syrup
1 c. cream (no substitute)
1 tsp. vanilla
Cooking Directions:
Butter a heavy saucepan. This will prevent the pralines from sugaring. Combine the sugars, syrup and cream. Cook slowly until it reaches a soft ball (238 degrees on a candy thermometer). Remove from stove. Add butter, pecans and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Drop by soup spoons on waxed paper or foil. This must be made on a clear day or night. If it is rainy it will not get hard.
