Sarah's Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

2 c. torn lettuce
2 c. torn curly endive
2 c. torn romaine
4 oz. Swiss cheese, cut into thin strips
1 1/2 c. cooked peas
6 slices bacon, crisp-cooked, drained and crumbled
1 med. red onion, thinly sliced
1/3 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 tsp. sugar
Dash salt

Cooking Directions:

In a large glass bowl with straight sides toss together lettuce, endive and romaine. Top with cheese, peas, half of the bacon, and all of the onion.

In a small bowl stir together mayonnaise or salad dressing, sugar and salt. Spoon over onion. Do not toss. Cover; chill at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours. Just before serving, sprinkle with remaining bacon and toss. Serves 6 to 8.
