Barbecue Sauce For Spareribs Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 c. celery1/3 c. onion
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Salt & pepper
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. mace
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. liquid smoke
1 c. catsup
1 c. beef stock (2 bouillon cubes dissolved in hot water)
Cooking Directions:
Chop celery, and onion fine. Braise in 1/4 cup butter for 5 minutes. Mix vinegar, dry mustard, salt and pepper, thyme, and mace. Cook 5 minutes. Mix and add to cooked liquid:1/2 c. brown sugar1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce2 tsp. liquid smoke1 c. catsup1 c. beef stock (2 bouillon cubes dissolved in hot water)
Mix together with braised vegetables and pour over spareribs. Bake 45 minutes. Garlic may be added.
