Dad's Seafood Bisque Recipe
Ingredients:
6 tbsp. butter or Promise butter1/2 c. dried minced onions
6 tbsp. flour
3 (8 oz.) cans minced clams
1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen seafood flakes, thawed
2 (8 oz.) bottles clam juice
3 c. (24 oz.) Half and Half
2 tbsp. lemon juice
Cooking Directions:
Melt butter in large pot and lightly brown minced onions. Stir in flour until smooth and bubbly. Slowly stir in clams with juice and clam juice. Cut and shred seafood flakes into mixture. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Stir in Half and Half then lemon juice. Heat slowly and do not boil. May be refrigerated and reheated.Any seafood may be substituted but do not use canned shrimp. Keep amounts about same as listed.
