Mom's Pink Beans Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb. pink beans (can use pintos)
1/2 lb. chopped bacon or ham hocks
1 lg. onion, chopped sm.
Salt & pepper to taste
1 lid of Granma's Spanish Pepper
Dash cumin pepper
2 or 3 toes of garlic, chopped
1/2 bell pepper, chopped
1 can tomato sauce
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
1/2 tsp. oregano

Cooking Directions:

Soak beans overnight with no salt. Next day, drain water. Add new water to beans enough to cover them. Cook slowly until tender. Add all the ingredients to beans and simmer until tender. Serve with French bread.
