Green Bean Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb. ground beef3/4 c. chopped onion
3/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. basil or thyme
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can tomato soup (10 1/2 oz.)
1 c. tomato juice
1 can cut green beans (10 1/2 oz.), drained
2-3 c. mashed potatoes
Cooking Directions:
Brown meat in heavy frying pan. Drain fat. Add onion and cook until tender. Stir in seasonings. Add tomato soup, tomato juice and drained green beans. Mix until well blended and simmer for a few minutes to blend flavors.Pour into a 2 quart casserole and spoon mounds of hot mashed potatoes on top. Dot with butter and bake 20-30 minutes at 375 degrees.
