Mama's Carrot Pudding And Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c. grated carrots1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. grated potatoes
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped raisins
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. cream (whipping or half and half)
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 tbsp. flour
Cooking Directions:
Mix carrot, potatoes, raisins, nuts, and butter. Sift together other ingredients. Mix well. Grease steamer pan or double boiler. Cook 3 hours.SAUCE:
1 c. cream (whipping or half and half)1 c. sugar1/4 c. butter1 tbsp. flour
Melt together the butter and flour; add cream and sugar. Cook until thickened.
