Carrots Lyonnaise Recipe
Ingredients:
1 chicken bouillon cube in 1/2 c. boiling water1 lb. carrots (6 med.)
1/4 c. butter
3 med. onions, sliced
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
3/4 c. water
Pinch sugar
Cooking Directions:
Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water. Pare carrots and cut in strips. Cook carrots in bouillon for 10 minutes. Melt butter, add onion and cook, covered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add 3/4 cup water. Bring to boil. Add carrots and stock. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Add pinch sugar. Serves 6.Other Recipes you might like:
