Shrimp Cantonese Recipe
Ingredients:
24 to 36 raw shrimp, peeled & halved lengthwise2 tbsp. butter or vegetable oil
2 c. onion, sliced
1 can fancy Chinese vegetables, rinsed & well drained
4 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. chicken broth
1 c. raw rice
2 c. celery, sliced
1 qt. fresh spinach leaves
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 c. water
Cooking Directions:
While rice is cooking in water, saute shrimp in butter for 1 minute or until pink. Add celery and onions. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Add spinach and Chinese vegetables. Cover and cook 1 minute. Blend pepper, soy sauce, broth and cornstarch. Stir into shrimp and vegetables. Cook and stir until sauce is clear and thickened, about 2 minutes. Serve over hot rice.Other Recipes you might like:
