Picnic Cole Slaw Recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 c. sugar3/4 c. oil
1 lg. cabbage, shredded
2 carrots, shredded
3/4 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 green pepper, chopped fine
1 med. onion, chopped
Cooking Directions:
In saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, oil, and salt. Boil for short time. In large bowl, combine cabbage, pepper, carrot, and onion. Pour warm vinegar mixture over vegetables and cool in refrigerator for several hours before serving. This is good for picnic as it will not spoil as fast as regular mayonnaise dressings.Other Recipes you might like:
