Cream Spinach Recipe
Ingredients:
2 slices bacon, diced1 1/2 tbsp. flour
1 lb. cooked spinach, finely chopped
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. half & half, scalding
1 onion, peeled, diced & lightly sauteed in butter or oil
Cooking Directions:
Saute bacon in medium saucepan until crisp. Reduce heat to medium-low and add butter. When melted, whisk in flour to make roux. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly until sauce is smooth and thickened. Simmer about 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Blend in remaining ingredients and heat through.Other Recipes you might like:
