Mandarin Stir Fry Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb. boned, skinned chicken, cut into thin strips
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 c. broccoli flowerets
2 onions, cut into thin wedges
1 carrot, cut into 2 inch julienne strips
1/2 lb. mushrooms
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/4 c. water, mix until smooth, stir in:
1/3 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. Karo corn syrup
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. red pepper, crushed

Cooking Directions:

In skillet, heat 2 tablespoons corn oil. Add chicken and garlic. Stir fry 5 minutes or until tender, then remove. Heat 2 tablespoons corn oil, add broccoli, onions and carrots. Stir fry 2 minutes. Add mushrooms. Stir fry 1 minute or until vegetables are tender crisp. Return chicken to wok, stir in sauce. Heat and boil 1 minute. Serve over hot rice. Serves 4 to 6.
